A Winner, Sales and Autumn Plans at Rix Racing

It’s been a busy few weeks at Rix Racing, highlighted by Intense Vision winning at Doncaster, plenty of activity in the sales ring and exciting plans for the future. We’ve welcomed some new faces to the yard, including Reveur and Leave The Bag In, while also seeing several horses move on to new homes following some fantastic sales results.

Intense Vision Gets Us into the Winners’ Enclosure

Intense Vision’s win with Saffie Osborne in the saddle at Doncaster on 23rd October was a pleasing result for the whole team and owner Blue Chip Bloodstock. Winning over six furlongs on heavy ground made it a particularly satisfying performance, and it was great to see him get his head in front after a close battle with French Affair.

Tattersalls & Goffs Sales: Buying for the Future

The sales have kept us busy this month, providing opportunities to add exciting new horses to the team.

At the Tattersalls October Book 1 Yearling Sale, we purchased a bay colt by Phoenix of Spain out of Bethrah, alongside Lillingston Bloodstock.

We then headed to the Tattersalls Horses in Training Sale, where we purchased Reveur, a son of Frankel. We’re particularly excited about this addition, as we hope he will become our first dual-purpose horse. He was purchased for a new syndicate with the Holiday Property Bond, run by Henry Kimbell. We currently have limited shares available, offering a great opportunity to get involved.

We also purchased Leave The Bag In at the Tattersalls Horses In Training Sale, an exciting prospect as he heads into his three-year-old season with his new owner, Andy Fei. We’re looking forward to seeing what the future holds for him.

The Other Side of the Sales Ring

While it’s always exciting to welcome new horses, there’s also a bittersweet side to the sales, as we say goodbye to some lovely horses as they move on to new homes.

However, it was fantastic to see them sell so well and achieve excellent returns for their owners. Noble Horizon, for example, was originally purchased for 140,000gns and sold for 220,000gns, while Mr Macartney went from a 15,000gns purchase to a 32,000gns sale. Spell Master and Dryburgh also found new homes at the Tattersalls Horses in Training Sale.

We’re delighted with the results and proud to see the horses rewarded for their progress and connections receiving such fantastic returns.

With a winner on the track, exciting new additions to the yard and some excellent sales results behind us, there’s plenty happening at Rix Racing. With the all-weather season underway, we’re looking forward to what the coming months will bring.
