A big week & a winning July!

July was a good month at Rix Racing, we had some pleasing results throughout the month at the major festivals including Tawajjah winning impressively at Sandown on his second start for us last week.

We were delighted to acquire a new recruit to the team in Mr Keble from the July sale, who is now owned by Middleham Park which is exciting to be training for a multiple Group 1 winning and well renowned operation.

It is one of our highlight weeks in our calendar as tomorrow marks the start of Glorious Goodwood, five days of top class racing and we have been busy prepping our four runners for the meeting over the last few weeks. We have a really strong team to go to war with and we kick off with Noble Horizon in the opening race of the festival, he runs in the Chesterfield Cup, is favourite and looks to have an outstanding chance. Our flag bearing two year old, Mr Macartney, runs in the Group 2 Richmond Stakes on Thursday and goes there with a sporting chance. Intense Vision who ran in the Britannia when not helped by the significant draw bias that day also runs on the Thursday in the last race, a one mile Handicap, which should suit him well. Spell Master rounds off our runners at the meeting running in the last race on the Saturday off the back of a very promising run in the John Smiths Cup where the extra furlong that day was probably a step too far for him.

Stable legend, Dosman, also runs on Saturday away from the Festival at Thirsk in the valuable Summer Cup so it’s the biggest week of our short career to date!
